Curves in DC

On a warm, not so muggy early evening, I boarded a train to The Mall: the only mall I voluntarily seek out. Although most museums were already closed for the day, and I did not plan ahead to find out which ones were actually open, I still enjoyed the stroll by architecturally stunning built structures. I walked around the particularly curvaceous, new (to me) National Museum of the American Indian: the sandstone, water, and landscaping created a sense of tranquility and quiet (even though traffic flowed steadily nearby).

New media added March - April 2010

In recent weeks, we have added new media offerings that are worth highlighting in case they streamed by. There are three new photo albums and two video clips.

Walk at Tiger Mountain 2009 May

We took a stroll in the beauty of Tiger Mountain, just outside of Seattle, 2009 May. Sticks, banana slugs, and a break for snack highlighted the jaunt.

Catepillars in the U-district

I am having a small adventure today. I took the bus to the university district for some thrift store shopping, bookstore browsing and quiet warm-beveraging. Whenever I come to this part of town, I am reminded of when Randy and I first moved to Seattle. We lived on a sailboat, conveniently located near UW on Lake Union. Since Randy was (and still is) a PhD student, we took full advantage of football games, student theater, and the local coffee shops. We would walk the Burke-Gilman to this part of town for date nights, or on lazy Saturdays.
